Multiplication turkeys

Today we made multiplication turkeys. We wrote  multiplication facts on the feathers.We had to do numbers I threw 12. It was really fun. Because we had to pick colors that went with thanksgiving foods we liked. For example: pumpkin pie would be orange. We made these turkeys because thanksgiving is right around the corner😀!!!

Read aloud

Today we started a new read aloud book called "My Brother Made Me Do It" and guess what? It's not an ordinary book because it's written in letters not chapters. It's about a 5th grade girl who has lots of trouble with her brother. Her brother is named Frankie and she's named Julie. Julie is 11 and Frankie is 9. And Julie always gets in trouble because of her brother. They like each other but they always do something that gets them in trouble. Like today they dressed up a dummy as Julie and they threw the dummy out the window. Well, it didn't go like they planned it would. Their mom actually called 911 and after that they had to explain what they had thought had happened and Julie's mom was so mad at her for what she did Julie was grounded for like a month. It's a great book so far you should read it!!!

Book fair

Today we went to a book fair.  It was hard to pick the books you wanted. I liked the spirit animals book. The book fair is all week during parent teacher conferences.  There's lots of books to choose from and we made a wish list but we could only write down 5 titles.

Mini computers

Today we did mini computers ( again )!!! It was easier than last time because I practiced more! Lots of people can't get past level 25 because that's when we start capital letters. And it's so hard that you have to use the shift key on the opposite side that your're typing on. There are 120 levels on the computer. If I had to pick how many levels I wanted I would pick 77 because that's my favorite number.  If you don't know how to type your ready position is A,S,D,F( right hand ) and J,K,L, and ; ( left hand ) use the ready position for help!

Art

Today in art we got to draw our own little town. Some people haven't finished coloring there's yet but after we're down coloring we get to use... WATER COLOR!!! Water colors are really fun it's like paint but it's wet. You never want to draw in pencil then color with water colors because then you would never see the pencil and it wouldn't be as cool as coloring with crayon. That's why you only want to draw in crayon when you are going to color over it with water colors. 

P.S you should really try and color with water colors.

Math

Today in math we were multiplying 0's and 1's it was really easy. And guess what? We learned how to multiply 9's first. I think that 9's are easy because now I know the secret to them. The secret is that the answer has to equal 9. For example: 6x9=54 and 5+4=9. It's really hard to understand but you'll get the hang of it. And another secret is that anything times 0=0. I think that is pretty cool. Well, if you don't know times use my secrets! 👍

Halloween party!!!

Last Thursday we had a awesome Halloween party!!! We got to do spooky science things and we got to dress up as anything we wanted to. We just couldn't wear anything too scary. But it was awesome any way! When we did spooky science we got to watch a brain grow. It didn't grow that much but it was still pretty fun. Also we Watch a gummy worm dissolve that was my favorite part. And last but not least we got to do fun things all day long!!!!😃
